Giorgio Vasari’s Teachers

This book examines the artistic, cultural, and historical influence of Giorgio Vasari’s teachers, mentors, and patrons on his sacred and profane paintings. As a Maniera artist, Vasari learns to admire and assimilate the art of the ancient masters.
