This is a comprehensive update that reflects recent changes in education training for teachers. It is well structured for easy access to current topics embedded in training criteria, which I consider essential at this busy time in the teacher training calendar. Leaning outcomes at the beginning of each chapter promote a focus on study with reference to the teaching standards. The activities in this book are already proving useful when running seminars. Overall there is a good balance with reference to giving teaching strategies, for example how to cope with pupils having problems with absorbing verbal information and theoretical aspects of learning that underpin teaching.
