Crossing the Sound

It’s the opportunistic eighties and Thom Lloyd is working in London’s hottest ad agency. He feels the zeitgeist, but he’s stuck in corporate accounts and his career is going nowhere. Making an escape, he finds himself on a remote Scottish island where he encounters Eliot, a charismatic young guitar player with a phenomenal talent. And Rhona, an artist who intuitively realises that together Thom and Eliot could forge a brilliant future.

Thom’s audacious ploy is to take on and outplay the music and media machine. Eliot will be the key. Naïve and idealistic, Eliot doesn’t want to compromise his musical gift, but goes along with Thom which means leaving the wildly beautiful island he loves for rock’n’roll London, New York and whatever comes.

Thom excels at marketing and manipulation. But how can he keep driving the game-plan forward when Eliot doesn’t want to be famous?
