Urban Water Crisis

This book is focused on the current conditions of water crisis in urban areas and the strategies of adaptation to secure water for achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6). Many global cities are facing a drastic water crisis due to overexploitation, declining groundwater, pollution, poor water supply infrastructure, contamination, inadequate water supply, and poor treatment processes. These problems have proved to be a significant barrier against achieving SDG 6. This book addresses potential solutions to the above problems and the strategies of adapting climate change to secure water in urban areas.
