Dr. Swarup Roy is an assistant professor at the Department of Food Technology and Nutrition, School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University, India. Dr. Roy is an eminent scholar at the Department of Food and Nutrition, Kyung Hee Universiy, Republic of Korea. He previously worked at the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology, Shoolini University, India. He was also a postdoctoral researcher at the BioNanocomposite Research Center, Kyung Hee University and Inha University, Republic of Korea, and a research associate at IIT Indore, India. He obtained PhD in biochemistry from University of Kalyani as a DST INSPIRE fellow. His research work is focused on the preparation and application of biopolymer-based functional composite material for active and intelligent packaging applications. Dr. Pratap Kalita, M. Pharm, Ph. D is Associate Professor of Pratiksha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guwahati, Assam, India. He has received his B. Pharm. from NET Pharmacy College, Raichur, Karnataka affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore; M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutics from RIPANS affiliated to Mizoram University, Aizawl, Mizoram, India and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati, Assam, India. He serves as a Reviewer for several reputed journals and presented several scientific papers, attended a number of national and international conferences. He has received several awards during his professional carrier. He is a member of different professional bodies around the world and involve enthusiastically in scientific research on biopolymers, biomass valorization, bioactives, packaging science, drug delivery, formulation development etc. and to develop active research culture.
