Simon Siemianowski is Assistant Professor at the Department of Modern History at the University of Tübingen, Germany. In addition to his research on language and cultural translation in the Americas, he has published on early modern life writing and global history. He recently co-edited Encountering the Global in Early Modern Germany: Microhistories of Mobility, Materiality, and Belonging.
