The Author: Ulrich Ronellenfitsch studied medicine in Heidelberg and Madrid and graduated from the University of Heidelberg. He is now completing the clinical specialisation in surgery at the University Hospital Mannheim. His current research focus is clinical epidemiology in surgery.
